Faith in Action Caregivers is pleased to announce that Chip Hulbert, a personal trainer, has developed an eight-week training program for athletes participating in the Triathlon / Duathlon. The training identifies activities to be done five days each week with days off for resting. The workouts described in the training program will help athletes build endurance for each leg of the race.
Hulbert will also hold two training sessions for athletes on Saturday, June 16 and Saturday, June 23. For details about the time and location, contact the Faith in Action Caregivers office.
Dates, times and location will be announced as soon as arrangements are made with the facility. The Saturday sessions will be open to anyone interested in learning more about participation in a multi-sport event whether or not they plan to participate in the Faith in Action Caregivers Triathlon / Duathlon on July 14. In addition, there will be informal bike rides for inexperienced bikers on Sunday mornings. Dates and times will be announced in early June.
Athletes are reminded that the first Early Bird Deadline will be on May 25. At that time there will be a price increase of $10 in all competition categories. The second Early Bird Deadline will be June 25 with another $10 price increase. The final date to register for the race will be on Wednesday, July 11.
